Oh no, my character has died, what now?

Ok, if one of your characters has died it is not the end of the world. Unless otherwise stated, you are now allowed to make a new character.
And I know people will be annoyed with me for this, but if one of your characters dies, you cannot remake a new character the same as the old one.

I didn’t post since the end of last mission and I missed the briefing… But I’m in the mission now, what has happened?

The way it works is that if you don’t post, your character is still treated as if present for everything mission related. So this way all you have to do is read back and you can figure out what is going on. So any upgrades, enhancements or issues your character already has or knows about. That means if the group gets a new armor upgrade even if you didn’t post for the briefing you also get one.

An official character did <action>… I want to do that too… Can I?

It really depends on what they did… You can ask me for clarification on the specifics, but for the most part you should just go with the idea that you can’t. This is particularly true when an official character brings down an enemy or wins in overwhelming odds. The official characters are by far stronger than your own. And if the official character struggles with a fight, your character should NEVER be able to waltz right in and clean shop as this is pure godmodding.

I didn’t read the rules/FAQ, now what?

Tough crap. I posted them for a reason… blatantly ignoring them only sets yourself up for failure as you have no idea what is and isn’t allowed. And don’t even bother trying to feed me some excuse about it being too long or anything of the sort. If you can’t be bothered to read the rules at the very least then you should consider why you are even roleplaying in the first place, as it does involve significant use of reading.

I can control the mavericks too? What can I do with them?

You can do basically anything with them… The only things you shouldn’t really do are:
- Have the maverick attack themselves. Seriously, they’re smart enough not to just blindly injure themselves in a fight.
- Have the maverick attack his fellow mavericks without a good reason. I know they’re not exactly best of friends, but they are all united under a common cause.
- Attempt to infect or convert the hunters. Your characters will stay hunters for the duration of the rp… So that means no attempting to convert your characters at any point.
- Attempt to switch sides, mavericks are just that… mavericks. They are wanted by the Hunters and there is no way a hunter would allow a maverick to join them.
