So today I found out that our local game/movie store had gone out of business. And being that it was a Mom/Pop style store that means it's not like they were going to ship all the movies/games to other stores, instead they were selling stuff off pretty cheaply. So I went over to see what kind of a selection of games they had. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon a great treasure. A copy of Megaman X4 (for only 5$ at that). Needless to say I purchased it.

So what cool/neat or interesting games have you unearthed when just browsing around stores/bargain bins?

When it comes to treasures I check stores that see the old stuff quite a bit every once in a while the only good one would be Trade a game here in Spokane Washington and the other good ones are in seattle if you wanna dive into the past.

My favorite treasures I ever got was Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Megaman X4 and some others I can't name off at the moment. If there is one treasure I would like to find it would be Suikoden II that would complete one of the treasures on my list of awesome. I have the first Suikoden in disk format from the PSX era.

Yup, I have a PS1, PS2 and PS3. All of which will play X4 flawlessly. Though currently I've been using the PS3 since the wireless controller is easier to use than a corded one. ( Also the PS1 isn't set up, but the PS2 is .. Though it's hooked up to the same TV as the PS3 so which ever I use doesn't matter. )

I'd also love to pick up X5 and X6 now while I'm at it. (Though I want the PS1 discs rather than the X collection on PS2)

The collection is alright its usually preffered among gamers that its cool to always have the original sources of those games. I have that half of the X series in their original formats when they were first released to america as in the time of the PSX or PS1 if you will.

The collection for me filled gaps the only game I never could find at the time was Megaman X3 and that game is rare and obviously one you can't get a copy of unless you want to pay close 80 sometimes 100 ducketts on E Bay or even Amazon new or used. Usually used it even runs that demand of a price. Virus got lucky finding a copy of Megaman X4 for that low of price at a shop.

I never got close to the prices like 5 ducketts usually 10 ducketts and above depending on the game especailly if its the rare treasures of a gaming generation. I remember geting my copy of MMX4 for about 20 plus ducketts because in my area that game was a rare find.

Oh if anyone asks I like to use ducketts instead of dollars as a term because our U.S money is worthless so its ducketts at least to me if you think its odd... http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/2769/zgrin2.gif
My biggest regret was giving away my SNES which had quite a small library of awesome games. Really ticks me off that I did that.

I may start using ducketts as well http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/8749/ztonguestick2.gif

But you do make a good point. If you look around you can still buy a SNES.

Also with the X collection if felt like whoever in charge at the time didn't give it the same love in comparison to the megaman classic collection. Sure there were unlockables and what not ,but the X collection was supposed to be fixed as in the spelling errors in X5 gone. There was supposed to be voices for at least the later X games X4-X6 they were going to redub and revoice MMX4 which I don't mind if it was kept the same really. They removed the Japanese voices in X6 during the cutscene comics and the gave us the playstation version of MMX3 which I was fine with that one.

That was the only minor gripes of that collection. If they added the unreleased MMX5 Tracks and included all the soundtests for those games I would have a ball than playing the Battle and Chase game that was also a japnese exclusive which was also a nice tidbit. The artwork was awesome granted I got the artbook. I think they could of done more if they cleaned up more it would have been a superior collection ,but it got rushed at the time it was released to North America.

Just had to splurge out those tidbits if it helps any. Yes Ducketts is the new U.S currency. XD

It's not that there is something wrong with having the X collection on PS2, but I'd rather just have original copies of the games. To have the actual X5 or X6 disc, manual, box etc...

Though if that isn't possible (like with X2 or X3 which, like 'Drifter pointed out are rare and expensive) then I'd go with the X collection.

Also, if there are yard sales or flea markets those are always good places to find rare games. Sometimes because people don't even know what they have (just that it's taking up space and they want to get rid of it). Which means they oft don't know the value of things. Though the downside is that you have to hurry to get them and that there is no guarantee about it's condition.
