After a rough last year in the megaman fandom even more rough times look grim again for this year to be a megaman fan the last megaman game Megaman online has had quite a bit slow down in updates and stuff lately ,but it looks like it too may hit the axe. The 25th anniversary is also looking highly dead among fans from the original source crapcom.

Thats what's I am getting from this article guys even though this game is not being made by capcom. Its made by NeoWiz a company in South Korea. This game was titled megaman online meaning it was gonna be an online MMO ,but there was already speculation among fans it would even get out of South Korea. But with how bad things are lately with Capcom treating Megaman the 25 anniversary for the bluebomber is gonna be grim. Nothing new except maybe CD's.

I will look for more articles for you guys later about Megaman Online and it trailers and what not because I know we did talk about it breifly in this section.

Here's is a link from the megaman network.
http://www.themmnetwork.com/2012/05/07/neo...online-worries/

Anyways thats what I am getting because Legends 3 and Universe suffered a similer fate with the slow down of updates and soon Online may just be heading to the chopping block if this slowdown continues to be the issue. If this game were cancelled it would be the 3rd megaman game ,but this one wasn't made by Capcom ,but NeoWiz so should this really cause any sort of issues in the fanbase? Probably and then the madness continues because a lot fans had hope that this would at least make it even if it was not being made by Capcom or was getting released out of South Korea to the global network.

Geez... I swear is there like a lot of dicking around these days with anything related to Capcom?

It's very clear someone needs to rip the megaman rights out of capcom's hands. (I be glad to make it their cold dead hands situation.) and give the series the attention it needs.

Well bro its hard to say. It's highly unlikely they will surrender it even if it we had to pry megaman from their cold dead hands. They would take megaman with them to the grave as a testament to their lack of development ideas. If there is anyone I feel sorry about from capcom is it's workforce and the individuals who were a part of Megaman.

You know, if they don't ever plan on doing anything with the series, it might be a smart business move for Capcom to sell the rights to Megaman. Make some money off of him instead of just shelving him forever.

It's hard to tell what's going on with Megaman Online since I'm not even sure if we were ever intended to get it. (I may have no love for MMO's... but that is one I'd probably break down for and give a shot. )

Sell the rights to Megaman back to Keiji Inafune? Or who would you like to see end up with the rights to the game? (AKA which developer do you think would make a great Megaman game if given the chance?)

I don't know Jet since when does smart buisness and Capcom fit in the same sentence? As far as I know they have the most backwards buisness practices I've seen in a videogame company to date.

As for who would take over that series. To be honest I was hoping Inafune had some sort of person to pass on Megaman too because Inafune still has a team up in Capcom ,but as things stand they are either focusing on other projects and Capcom just doesn't have any ideas what to do with the blue bomber that partially lead to their success as a gaming company. Theres that team and inticrates ,but too be honest if anyone could work a good megaman game it would have to be either Konami or Nintendo. Why those two? Well Konami is willling to at least try new things ,but they still manage to keep their fanbases happy for the most part. And Nintendo because they can keep formulas the same even if sometimes they do get tiring to some extents with their games ,but at least they stay true to the fomula. Why fix that which wasn't broken to begin with? Then Megaman wouldn't be for other systems anymore which could be a problem. Unless some american company here can do it I can't think of anyone else who could in Japan.

@Virus

Well no the game was not meant to be released outside South Korea, it was a hope it would ,but obviously with whats going down no it never will see the light of day anyways.

Personally, I think it'd be interesting to see Capcom pass Megaman off to a developer like Platinum studios. (They're the ones behind Bayonetta, Vanquish and the yet to be released Metal Gear Rising game. ) And I'd love to see what they could do with the Megaman Zero series. (Imagine a third person hack and slash game with Zero in the style of Devil May Cry... Chain rod + Z-saber? Yeah, I'd love to see that.)

Another interesting choice might be Bioware for Megaman X: Command Mission 2.

For the X series... Insomniac games. They have a penchant for cool/awesome/unique weapons (Proof being Ratchet and Clank or Resistance series. Who wouldn't want a gun that sees and shoots through walls and puts up a protective energy barrier?) And Ratchet and Clank series is basically a 3D platformer where main characters runs, jumps and shoots. (Oh, and swings from grappling hook and glides/flies/pilots aircraft... So everything the X series could use. Perhaps it's time again for another 3D X game?)

Nintendo could probably pull off Classic Megaman and milk it for all it's worth.

I wouldn't want them to go anywhere near Square-Enix... Megaman Legends 3 might actually get finished, but it'd only take a measly 6 years (after they announce it and sit on it for 2 years).
