Seems like EA can't get enough attention, and to add further insult to Nintendo (after EA announced they had no games in development for Nintendo's console), Bob Summerwill (a Senior Software Engineer and Architect) took to twitter to offer his thoughts on Nintendo's console...
Summerwill effectively called Nintendo's system underpowered and slammed Nintendo's eShop. He further went on to state that Nintendo should have "pulled a Sega" and left the console wars to go make games for Sony/Microsoft before stating that EA would only focus on consoles that mattered.
I've often heard on various sites, in stores, and just talking with people about how apple is this really amazing inventor and makes all this awesome stuff. But there's been a lot of misconception surrounding it all. A lot of what apple has done isn't so much invent but merely combine.
In this video, they talk about the various things people think apple invented and give some history on whether or not apple really did invent that.
Recently Nintendo has decided that anyone who uses Nintendo game footage in their own videos will have their ad revenues sent directly to Nintendo (instead of to their own accounts).
The videos are not getting blocked outright (although Nintendo could do that on copyright grounds...)
What do you think of this? Is it fair/right for Nintendo to do this? (Since only some of the content of these videos is theirs.) Do you think this will affect people's decisions to upload footage of Nintendo content? And do you think that this is a grab by Nintendo for more cash?
Members of Lulsec (the group that was responsible for numerous attacks in 2011, including ones against Sony, Nintendo and the CIA) have finally been sentenced...
QUOTE
Cleary was jailed for 32 months, Davis for two years and Ackroyd for 30 months. Al Bassam was given a 20-month suspended sentence.
What do you think of these sentences? (Also note that they could be up for extradition to the US to face even more penalties there for acts committed against US systems. Though should they be extradited?)
What punishment, if you had your way, would you give them?
After EA made the push to implement Online Passes for the consoles, they have decided to get rid of them now. So, from now on, future games will not feature online passes.
They cited the reason for abolishing them is that online passes didn't work. That players didn't accept online passes.
Currently other companies still use them (Sony and Ubisoft being prime targets), but with this move do you think others will start to abolish them too?
Do you think that this will improve the game industry at all?
And does this help change your mind any about EA? (Or do you think this was just a PR move to make them look better given recent problems?)
