Cold light. It was everywhere and impossible to get away from. Even with eyelids closed, the pure white light of the empty med bay reached the eyes. The light alone was what brought Vyper to her senses. So uncomfortable was the light that had she been human, it would've been ushering a raw headache to torment her.

There she lay, fastened by belts onto a 45 degree-tilted bed. They didn't always use fastening belts, and few thought much of 'em anyway. The belts crossed the patient's body only, leaving the arms free to manipulate them if they wished. Even so, Vyper felt more like a specimen on display than a hospitalized victim. With the claws of her gauntlets, she shredded the restraints, thinking nothing of the easily accessible unlocking mechanisms they featured.

Fragments of her armor were strewn about, likely surgically removed to tend to her various injuries. Vyper stepped down onto the ground, crunching on armor remnants. There were more than enough polished white and chrome material in the bay reflecting her image, allowing here to view herself. There was more jumpsuit visible than armor, and even that wasn't saying much. large portions of her jumpsuit were removed to tend to injuries and re-graft skin. Her helmet was gone too. Images of her last fight resurfaced in her memory as she lightly rubbed her face. It was a hammer that nearly killed her. Like a movie on playback loop, Vyper concentrated on the memory. The hammer was hastily swung--elbows of the user bent in in an awkward fashion that lacked technique, taking away the true power momentum was supposed to give him. She was lucky indeed.

"Now I see why people don't use the belts!" Came a voice. Vyper spun around to the medic strolling in. "Great. more paperwork for me. Thank you--why don't you break the cabinets and mirrors too? Here, lemme find a stethoscope for you to rip up and tangle; paperwork is nothing for the good 'ol doctor, right? Sheesh!"

Vyper stared neutrally, as if she were being bombarded by a foreign language. "Don't gimme that impassive doll-face look! Someone's got to fill out--oy, never mind.. Look, One of the armorers will be here shortly to get your armor and repair it. Your squad is on an assignment, but I recommended for you to stay behind. We cleaned you up quite a bit but we still need to run a full diagnostics before we let you go. It'll take a few,......--" The medic trailed off, examining Vyper as she stayed with her impassive look. "Are you even listening...? Do you understand what I'm saying to you?........Where do they get these hunters..?" He said as he walked out, looking back one more time for one last assessment.

It was true enough that Vyper wasn't listening. In fact, she was lost to the world for the moment. She had instinctively turned to the doctor upon his arrival, but her thoughts were aplenty and conflicting. Her mind, her CPU, once damaged supposedly beyond repair and melded together with fragments of her fallen comrades, had once reached a compromise of unification; of universal harmony....but now, the thoughts of many screamed out to her all at once, threatening to drown her in endless confusion and turmoil once again. There was never a cure for such a thing. At times like this, she was under the cold-blooded mercy of probability and chance. She could either reach a general consensus that she is no longer she, but we, or fall victim to the other, unexplored option: insanity, irregularity,...Maverick.

It's all only a muddled confliction of personas, identities trying to establish themselves as legitimate. They are all legitimate--all used to be, anyways. It's only several minds within one body, and unification is now quickly becoming lost. But for what sudden reason? Impatience? Resentment? Vyper's body shivered with millions of questions, riddles, half-truths and lies. Somewhere in her mind is who she was and still is. And for her to survive, she will have to establish dominance, and eliminate the others...

Vyper began to pant, and shake uncontrollably. She grabbed her head as she felt her mind burning, trying to process the memories and personalities of too many. The optic feed fizzled out into darkness as her eyes lost their typical reploid luminosity.

We sit and watch, day-by-day, as our memories and skills are used to the advantage of this body, afraid to come to terms with the truth. Long ago, we all died. That is the undeniable truth. Our being here is only a lie that we feed to each other as the truth, and this can happen no more. We can no longer be we; the conquest for I is inevitable. But which of us will it be? It's gotta be me. I am the strongest and only the strongest survive. I was the only one that walked away from that incident. I don't remember, but it's the only explanation. Everything else is lies! It was I. I alone survived and this body is mine. None had the determination to survive more than I. I said I would sacrifice everything for the survival of the professor, but I know I survived! This is me! I don't care what the facts sum up to. It's only everyone's opinion muddled together. Truths and lies. They're all beyond the point. All I see is that this form is mine for the taking. Let them all squabble for the right to survive, so that I can reach out and seize this victory in the end. I will be the only one left in the end.

.....This is merely the twisted result of a madman in his final days. His way of allowing all of us to get revenge on those that have wronged us in another lifetime. But we can't go on like this. This much processing on the CPU and this CPU will not live another three years. That's what the scientists say. I wanted to make this work, but it can't happen. I...loved the professor and I wanted to stay the way he made me, but.....I have to let go. Or else I will only die, or worse.....go maverick...I have to delete my comrades..I'm so sorry, professor. My new life as a hunter counts on it......

It wasn't too often that people found themselves heading for the med bay. It was always miserable there. And boring...so very boring. It was the very reason why Ami found himself taking a slow stride there. He didn't want to go there--no one did. But he had to pay a visit to Vyper after hearing what had happened, along with the fact that no one else checked on her either. One didn't have to be psychic to see it; the team comradeship was abysmally low. So low, in fact, that the small squad-sized element had lost its tactical use. All they ever did was go in to throw firepower wherever it needed to be sent. "We might as well be an army, honestly."

One of the doctors was heading his way. "Excuse me, sir. I'm looking for Vyper Uniscus? I don't know which bay she's in."

"Oh, little miss 'break everything on touch without a care in the world' ? Yeah, down the hall, second right." He replied with a little acid in his tone. Ami thought nothing of the remark. Placing his hands behind his back in a carefree fashion, Ami pressed on. "Hmm, maybe I should've brought a gift. I wonder what Vyper likes...Flowers? candy? bugs? I wonder why girls don't like bugs? They're so unique and abstract. Their design is also fundamental in--"

Aku Mirai froze with terror at Vyper sprawled out on the ground, unmoving. "H-Hey! HEY! SOMEONE HELP! WE GOT ONE DOWN!! HEEELP!

OCC:I would like to say I'm back, as I now have internet in my own room, but I'm doing some field training for the next two weeks, so I won't be here. lol.
EDIT: meaning that despite the description saying joinable and the content mentioning everyone else to be in the mission, by the time I come back hopefully the mission will be over and actually joinable. lol

Yeap. 25th is about done and we're all reveling in whatever we got, be it riches or rags. So let's all be kids again and huddle in a corner to brag about what we got.

What I got!!!

-SUPER AWESOME BUNDLE OF WHITE SOCKS! ONES THAT HAVE LOGOS ON THEM AND THUS DISALLOW ME TO USE THEM IN BASIC TRAINING!!!OR AT ANY POINT IN THE ARMY!!! WAY TO GO, MOM!!!

-THE SAME PAIR OF PAJAMAS I GOT LAST YEAR!!! WHOOO, MOM'S ON A ROLL!!!

- $150, 1/3 of which is in gamestop giftcard form. Thanks, ma! :0

-These Sony earmuffs that help block out sound. I like to be conservative with my music in that I don't like when sound can be heard from 'em by other people while I'm using em. My current earbuds prevent that, so I'm not sure if these will be used often.

-A pretty cool watch. G-Shock series if you're an uh..a watch guy. >_>;;
Maybe a few years down the line, I'll get an S.A.S or Delta watch like my brother. Of course, I'd never until I worked with the people and done the things he has..

So yea. BAM.

So yesterday, my family and I drove down to South Carolina to see my brother graduate from Drill Sergeant school. Considering I'm going to one of the tougher places for basic training in a couple of days(Fort Benning), I just kinda thought it was

SO.

FRIKKIN.

SURREAL.

To see 57 drill sergeants at once. I had heard that their training was very taxing, so all of them were more anxious to get the ceremony over with than ecstatic or whatever. Each and every one of them walked across the stage, took 8 seconds to epically put on their intimidating hat, shake hands with their instructors, then walk off. I was near the front of the auditorium, so I seriously half expected each and everyone of them to suddenly turn to me all angrily and *pissed off rottweiler barking* lmao.

They made it outside before we did so when I went out there, I heard the most startling, heart-stopping "YOU." I've ever heard in my life. I turned, and barely racognized my older bro. We usually grin at each other when we spot each other; he didn't even do that. He tilted his head so that the hat hid his face then stormed up to me. I was so on edge, I didn't know what the hell to expect. But it was all cool. He said that's how he's gonna greet me from now on. lol

So yea. Just informing what went down yesterday. Awesome stuff.

Pretty sure we all know about it at this point, the whole Battlefield 3 vs. Modernwarfare 3 war being raged by these lunatic fans. Still, I think it's a pretty interesting topic. What are your opinions on this whole fiasco? One look more promising than the other? Preferences? Discuss.

It's unfortunate the wii doesn't provide easy ways to link webpages....well, it doesn't do that at all really. But you don't need to go far to see VG Exiles 3. It's right there on the front page of Newgrounds.

It's been two years since part two, featuring John Tolbain vs. Gambit, but R1665 finally came through with the latest addition to the series, featuring MK's Striker vs. M. Bison.

I love it. nice M. Bison choreography, P90's `blazin, and I think I even saw an Equilibrium reference! Watch it! I think its good.
